Gold Nationals Championship Picture Taking Shape

OKLAHOMA CITY – USA Softball’s Gold Nationals set the bracket for semifinals Thursday at Devon Park. Oklahoma Athletics 07 Premier McFadden, Lousiana Voodoo 16U Barksdale, Rock Gold Waye Nationals and Oklahoma Athletics Platinum 08 Kudrna remain in 16U. While Rock Gold Waye, Nebraska Quakes National 18U Jonas, Oklahoma Pure Fastpitch Melson Premier 18U and Oklahoma Athletics 18U Premier Stanley punched their tickets to the 18U semifinals.

16U – Oklahoma Athletics 07 Premier McFadden punched a straight shot to the championship after defeating Louisiana Voodoo, 6-5. Louisiana Voodoo’s path to the championship requires an elimination game against the winner of Rock Gold Waye Nationals and Oklahoma Athletics Platinum 08 Kudrna.

18U – Rock Gold Waye steamrolled their way into the semifinals, going 2-0 on the day and outscoring opponents 14-3. Nebraska Quakes took it a step further, posting a 3-0 day five record and scratching 32 runs on the board. Oklahoma Pure Fastpitch Melson Premier held off the Firecrackers, 9-8, on their way to the second semifinal. Meanwhile, Oklahoma Athletics 18U Premier Stanley decisively won their game against Lousiana Voodoo 18U, 4-1.
