VERO BEACH, Florida – The USA Softball High Performance Program (HPP) National Selection Event, presented by Dick’s Sporting Goods, has begun with athletes from across the country making their way to Vero Beach, Florida with hopes of being selected for a USA Softball Women’s National Team program.

Having advanced through various HPP Identifiers throughout the last year, over 400 athletes have been invited to the Jackie Robinson Training Complex to participate in on-field evaluations and scrimmages. The event is slated for Nov. 30-Dec. 3 with an action-packed three-day schedule for age groups 12U, 13U, 14U, 15U, 16U and 17/18U – including seminars hosted by former and current Women’s National Team (WNT) members. WNT athletes in attendance include Ally Carda, Taylor Edwards, Sam Fischer, Baylee Klingler, Haylie McCleney, Michelle Moultrie and Gwen Svekis, while Blaine Milheim and Nick Mullins represent the Men’s National Team (MNT).
