OKLAHOMA CITY — Six members of the previously announced USA Softball Women’s National Team (WNT) Athlete Pool will take the field this week at the 2026 NCAA Women’s College World Series (WCWS) set to take place May 28 – June 5 at the Softball Capital of the World® in Oklahoma City.

Representing five collegiate programs and three athletic conferences from across the country, the U.S. athletes competing in the 2026 WCWS include Nebraska’s Jordy Frahm, Tennessee’s Karlyn Pickens, Texas’ Reese Atwood and Teagan Kavan, Texas Tech’s NiJaree Canady and UCLA’s Aleena Garcia. The action begins tomorrow with Canady and Texas Tech taking on Mississippi State in the opening game followed by a Texas-Tennessee showdown featuring Atwood, Kavan and Pickens at 1:30 p.m. CT. Garcia and UCLA are set for Game 3 at 6 p.m. CT before Frahm and Nebraska wrap up the day in the night cap at 8:30 p.m. CT.
Alongside the six athletes competing in OKC, three additional members of the 2026 WNT Athlete Pool will also participate on the sidelines through their roles with their respective collegiate programs: Kayla Kowalik (Texas Tech – Assistant Coach), Aubrey Leach (Tennessee – Director of Player Development) and Sierra Sacco (Mississippi State – Graduate Assistant).
Following the conclusion of the WCWS, all nine athletes will return to Oklahoma City to compete with Team USA at the USA Softball International Cup. Slated for July 30–August 3, the event will feature 36 athletes from the WNT Athlete Pool split across two squads — the U.S. WNT and the U.S. Women’s Elite Team — as they take on a top-ranked international opponents, including No. 1 Japan, No. 4 Canada, No. 5 Chinese Taipei, No. 8 China, No. 11 Australia and No. 42 American Samoa.
