OKLAHOMA CITY — The 2024 event schedule for the USA Softball Hall of Fame Complex has officially been released with a full slate of premiere softball competitions coming to the Softball Capital of the World® across an eight-month span.
Softball fans from across the nation can eagerly anticipate an action-packed lineup of events in Oklahoma City, including marquee events such as the NCAA Women’s College World Series (WCWS) and USA Softball All-American Games, along with the exciting return of the Border Battle XIV.
“We are delighted to unveil our exciting event schedule for 2024,” said Craig Cress, CEO of USA Softball. “This year’s lineup promises to be our most engaging and memorable yet, as we celebrate the remarkable individuals who continue to shape the sport of softball and inspire future generations.”
Kicking off the 2024 season, the Hosea Bell Red Dirt Classic is set to take place March 1-2 followed by a matchup between the Oklahoma Sooners and Baylor Bears on March 22. Also highlighting the 2024 season are the inaugural Oklahoma High School Slow Pitch Showdowns (Red, White, Blue & Gold) taking place throughout March and April — while the beloved Special Olympics Oklahoma will return on April 3.
The University of Oklahoma will be back to take on the University of Tulsa (April 16) for a mid-week, non-conference match-up followed by the return of the OSSAA Slow Pitch High School State Championship (April 30-May 1). The USA Patriots will face off against the First Responders of Oklahoma in an honorary slow pitch game (May 4) while the Phillips 66 Big 12 Softball Championship (May 8-11) will close out the spring season.
As the summer season takes the stage, the spotlight shines brightly on the return of the fan-favorite NCAA Women’s College World Series where the top 8 teams from Division I post-season play will battle it out at the Softball Capitol of the World ® for the esteemed title of National Champion.
July ushers in a month full of much-anticipated events that will be kicked off with the USA Softball GOLD Nationals (July 12-19) where the top 16-Under and 18-Under teams from Maine to California will cap the Road to Oklahoma City with a week-long competition. The USA Softball Men’s and Women’s Slow Pitch National Team will matchup against Team Canada in the 14th edition of Border Battle on July 24-28 to close out the month.
Continuing through the month of August, the USA Softball All-American Games (August 8-11) will host the top 12-Under athletes from across the country in a fun, competition-filled weekend followed closely by the Armed Forces Men’s and Women’s Championship (August 2-7). The USA Softball Men’s Class B (August 30-31) and Men’s Class A (September 1-2) Slow Pitch National Championship promises an electrifying Labor Day weekend with the Women’s Open set to take place September 7- 8, while the USA Softball Hall of Fame Complex will play host to a World Baseball Softball Confederation (WBSC) Men’s Softball World Cup Group Stage event on September 15-22 where the USA Softball Men’s National Team will compete for a chance at the 2025 World Cup finals. The 2024 event calendar will come to a close in October with the return of the OSSAA Fast Pitch State Championship slated for October 10-12 and October 17-19.
