OKLAHOMA CITY – USA Softball has officially revealed the lineup of National Umpire Schools (NUS) for the upcoming year, including one happening later this month, as opportunities for umpires to enhance their knowledge and sharpen their craft will stretch across six states from November 2023 through March 2024. Florida, Illinois, Mississippi, Nevada, Oregon and Pennsylvania will each host a NUS in the coming months with the possibility of additional events added at a later date.

Ran by a team of USA Softball National Umpire staff members, these clinicians provide each participant hands-on personal instruction on both fast pitch and slow pitch umpiring – including base and plate mechanics – while also developing and enhancing their skills with lectures and on-field drills. Rules and umpire etiquette will also be discussed as ratios of at least one clinician per 25-30 students will foster a comfortable environment where learning and growing is the main objective.
Registration fees for USA Softball NUS vary by location. To register for an upcoming USA Softball NUS, please contact the school coordinator listed on the National Umpire School section of USASoftball.com. Please note that only certain schools are currently open for registration, while others will open up when additional information becomes available.
