OKLAHOMA CITY – The World Baseball and Softball Conference announced today that USA Softball has been awarded hosting rights to the next three editions of the U-15 Women’s Softball World Cup with Devon Park once again bringing in elite competition to Oklahoma City. The agreement will cover the 2027, 2029 and 2031 editions of the tournament.

Oklahoma City, which will host the softball portion of the 2028 Olympic Games, will offer a unique opportunity for youth players from around the world to compete on an Olympic stage. The U-15 World Cup had its inaugural event in 2023 in Tokyo, Japan, with Team USA winning gold, followed by Caronno Pertusella and Legnano, Italy, in 2025.

This opportunity reflects the strength of our facilities, our community, and our commitment to growing the game on a global stage, and we look forward to creating an unforgettable experience for every team, family, and fan who visits Oklahoma City.”

The U-15 U.S. Women’s National Team (WNT) got its start in 2023 with athletes selected to each roster following advancement from the USA Softball High Performance Program (HPP).

The Eagles have claimed three gold medals (World Cup, 2023; Americas Qualifier, 2023, 2025) and hold a 30-3 record when playing in WBSC events since becoming a program.  

The HPP National Selection Event is hosted each year where all invited athletes from each local identifier gather to compete in a series of on-field evaluations and scrimmages. The National Selection Event is held for the top athletes of each age group based on evaluations from the Regional Identifiers.

Following the National Selection Event, 18 athletes from each age group will be identified as Top Performers. Each Top Performer will then be eligible for age-specific Junior Women’s National Team rosters based on age for the following calendar year and WBSC schedule of events.
