JT Gasso currently serves as the associate head coach at the University of Oklahoma after spending eight seasons as an assistant (2016-Current). His primary focus is on coaching the outfielders and hitters. Under Gasso’s leadership, the Sooners have achieved remarkable success, winning seven Big 12 regular season titles and five Big 12 Tournament championships. The team has made eight appearances in the Women’s College World Series, securing six national titles, including an NCAA record of four consecutive championships in 2024. This past season, they finished with a record of 59-7, leading the nation in on-base percentage and ranking in the top five for home runs, batting average, slugging percentage, doubles, and OPS. Before his time at Oklahoma, Gasso spent one season as an assistant coach at Michigan State (2014-2015). He played college baseball at Eastern Oklahoma State and East Central University and has been a lead instructor at the Sooner Softball camps for the past 10 years.
