With a distinguished career as a coach on both the women’s and men’s sides at the highest levels, Don Cooper has captured numerous USA Softball National Championships. He was a six-time Women’s Slow Pitch National Team head coach, including the inaugural Women’s Border Battle team in 2017. As a Border Battle coach, he notches a record of 6-1 (including the 2020 Slow Pitch Showdown). Don was also selected as the 2013 Men’s Slow Pitch National Futures Team. As a manager, Don fosters an unparalleled respect from his players, assistant coaches, and opponents. It comes as no surprise that Don was selected by USA Softball to conduct slow pitch clinics in Europe to help improve and better their programs. He is a truly outstanding coach and ambassador for softball.
