get to know…
- What does it mean for you to represent the United States of America? It means everything. There’s nothing quite like being selected to represent the United States of America and wearing USA across your chest. It’s really hard to put into words, but it’s definitely an honor to represent this great country and compete against some of the best athletes in the world!
- What do you enjoy most about Men’s Fast Pitch? The players, coaches, and community around Men’s Fastpitch are definitely what I enjoy most. I’ve been lucky enough to become friends with players and coaches from all over the world and had the opportunity to develop a network within the Fastpitch community that goes well beyond just the sport.
- How did you get started playing softball? Started playing in High School after being invited to try out for the USA Mens Jr. Fastpitch Softball Team thanks to my dad who had connections from playing back in the day.
- Who were your softball role models growing up? My Father who is in the Fastpitch Softball Hall of Fame. He played while I was growing up and I spent many weekends out at the ball field watching and playing ball with the other kids.
- What is the best advice you’ve ever received? Never be afraid of failure, as failure is inevitable. The best way to learn is through failure.
- What #MotivationMonday would you like to share with USA Softball fans? Success comes to those who get comfortable being uncomfortable.
- What is your personal motto? Failing to prepare is preparing to fail. Prepare then have fun and embrace the moment when it’s your time to shine.
