OKLAHOMA CITY — Members of the U.S. Women’s National Team (WNT) and U.S. Women’s Elite Team have arrived in the Softball Capital of the World® ahead of the 2026 USA Softball International Cup, set for July 30–August 3 at Devon Park.
World-ranked No. 2 Team USA will be joined by six international opponents in the five-day tournament. The U.S. Women’s Elite Team will compete in Group A alongside No. 1 Japan, No. 5 Chinese Taipei and No. 42 American Samoa, while the U.S. WNT is set to face No. 4 Canada, No. 8 China and No. 11 Australia in Group B.
Since the tournament’s inception in 2005, Team USA has compiled an 83-8 all-time record while capturing 11 of the event’s 14 titles, with Japan claiming the remaining three gold medals. Silver medal finishes in 2005, 2013 and 2016 mark the only times the U.S. did not capture gold before winning the tournament’s latest three editions from 2017-2019. At the International Cup, Team USA holds tournament records for Most Hits (75 – 2019), Most Runs Scored (59 – 2006) and Lowest ERA (0.20 – achieved twice). Over the years, the U.S. Women’s Elite Team has also competed in the International Cup on three occasions — 2010, 2016 and 2018.

The U.S. Women’s Elite Team will kick off Team USA action on Thursday, July 30, against Chinese Taipei at 4 p.m. CT, followed by the U.S. WNT’s matchup with Australia at 7 p.m. CT. Team USA returns to the field Friday as the Elite Team takes on American Samoa at 4 p.m. CT before the WNT faces Canada at 7 p.m. CT. Pool play concludes Saturday with the WNT squaring off against China at 4 p.m. CT, followed by the Elite Team’s matchup with world No. 1 Japan at 7 p.m. CT. Following pool play, the top two teams from each group will advance to the playoff round on Sunday, Aug. 2, with the medal games slated for Monday, Aug. 3.

WOMEN’S NATIONAL TEAM
The WNT roster features two members of the 2020 U.S. Olympic Team (Rachel Garcia & Dejah Mulipola), nine athletes from the 2025 World Games gold medal squad and 11 players who competed in the 2025 USA Down Under Series. One of the newest additions to the WNT Athlete Pool, Megan Grant will once again represent the U.S. after competing in the 2023 and 2024 Japan All-Star Series.
The 18-player roster includes former student-athletes from three NCAA Division I conferences — the SEC (11 athletes), Big 12 (four athletes) and Big Ten (three athletes). Oklahoma leads all schools with four members, followed by UCLA with three, while Florida, Kentucky and Tennessee each tab two athletes. Other universities represented include Alabama, Arizona, Oklahoma State, Texas and Utah with one athlete apiece.

WOMEN’S ELITE TEAM
The U.S. Women’s Elite Team roster is highlighted by five current student-athletes and 13 former student-athletes. Among them, Kendall Wells (Oklahoma) and Taylor Shumaker (Florida) will make their international debuts after earning spots in the 2026 WNT Athlete Pool. Bringing a wealth of international experience, five athletes return after competing in the 2025 USA Down Under Series, while four members of the 2025 World Games gold medal team will also take the field with the Elite Team.
The roster includes athletes from six NCAA Division I conferences: the SEC (eight athletes), Big Ten (six athletes), AAC (one athlete), ACC (one athlete), Big 12 (one athlete) and Sun Belt (one athlete). Representing 11 NCAA Division I universities, UCLA leads the pack with five athletes, followed by Oklahoma with three and Texas with two. Duke, Florida, LSU, Marshall, Mississippi State, Texas Tech, Washington and Wichita State are also represented with one athlete each.
