OKLAHOMA CITY — USA Softball has announced that the U.S. Women’s National Team (WNT) will return to Japan this fall for the highly-anticipated Japan All-Star Series, in conjunction with the Japan Softball Association. The tournament will run Nov. 19-22, hosted in Nagoya and Naha, Japan.

The world-ranked No. 2 U.S. WNT will take on No. 1 Japan in a three-game series spanning two host cities: Nagoya (Vantelin Dome) and Naha (Okinawa Cellular Stadium).

2026 Japan All-Star Series Schedule

  • November 19, 2026 – Japan vs. USA (Game 1) | Vantelin Dome Nagoya (Nagoya, Japan)
  • November 21, 2026 – Japan vs. USA (Game 2) | Okinawa Cellular Stadium Naha (Naha, Japan)
  • November 22, 2026 – Japan vs. USA (Game 3) | Okinawa Cellular Stadium Naha (Naha, Japan)

The final two matchups will mark the first senior women’s international softball event hosted at Okinawa Cellular Stadium Naha. Most recently, Team USA suffered a 0-3 series loss to Japan at the 2024 Japan All-Star Series.

Match times, ticket information, and team rosters will be announced at a later date.

Since its inception in 2016, the Japan All-Star Series has provided an exciting experience for softball fans, drawing more than 31,000 spectators to the Tokyo Dome in its inaugural year and 15,000 fans to Yokohama Stadium in 2017.

“USA Softball is proud to provide these athletes with an opportunity to compete on the international stage as we continue preparing for LA28,” said USA Softball Chief Sport Development/Performance Officer, Chris Sebren. “Matchups against internationally respected programs like Japan will help our athletes grow and gain more experience on the world stage as we head into the future.”

Thanks to the hospitality and efforts made by the Japan All-Star Series Organizing Staff, the U.S. will have the opportunity to participate in a series of training sessions ahead of the highly anticipated event while experiencing the culture and traditions of Japan off the field.

The U.S. WNT roster that will compete at the 2026 Japan All-Star Series will be announced at a later date. For more information on the U.S. Women’s National Team program, visit USASoftball.com.
