Oklahoma City, Devon Park and No. 2 Team USA will play host to No. 1 Japan, No. 4 Canada, No. 8 China, No. 42 American Samoa and the USA Women’s Elite Team with the tournament schedule being announced at a later date.

EVENT BASICS
The five-day tournament will take place July 30-Aug. 3 at Devon Park in Oklahoma City, Okla. The event, which is making its return after a six-year hiatus, will feature the top teams from around the world as a WBSC-sanctioned event.
The tournament will feature a round-robin style schedule with every team playing each other once. A championship game will then be played on Monday, Aug. 3.
Formerly known as the World Cup of Softball, the event was rebranded in 2018 as the International Cup.
WINNING WAYS
Since its inception in 2005, Team USA has compiled an all-time record of 83-7, securing 11 of the 14 tournament titles. USA’s winning ways include three straight tournament victories from 2017-2019, also coming away victorious in six-straight from 2006-2012.
The Eagles also sit atop the record books in team and individual hitting and pitching, including Hannah Flippen’s record 17 RBIs in 2018, Valerie Arioto’s five home runs in 2014, 2018 and 2019, and Team USA’s 0.20 ERA in 2007 and 2009.
THE TEAMS
USA Softball announced the 36 athletes that have been selected as part of the U.S. Women’s National Team (WNT) Athlete Pool with hopes of making the 2026 U.S. WNT that will compete at the WBSC World Cup Group Stage event as well as the 2026 USA Softball International Cup.
The athlete pool will serve as the foundation for the 2025-28 Olympic quadrennial cycle. During the International Cup, USA will field two teams – the WNT and a Women’s Elite Team.
The 2026 athlete pool includes 29 former and seven current NCAA Division I student-athletes, representing 18 universities and six conferences. Out of the 36 athletes in the pool, 32 have previously been a part of the WNT program with Dejah Mulipola (C), Rachel Garica (P), Ally Carda (P) and Bubba Nickles-Camerena (OF) also being Olympians (2020).
WOMEN’S NATIONAL TEAM PROGRAM
Members of the USA Softball Women’s National Team Selection Committee are responsible for selecting rosters to represent the United States in international competitions, including the Pan American Games, WBSC World Cups and the Olympic Games. Selection to the WNT Athlete Pool does not guarantee future inclusion or selection to a specific team. Athletes may be added to or removed from the pool at any time.
