OKLAHOMA CITY – USA Softball has announced new leadership in South Dakota with Keith Morell taking on the commissioner role.

Morell will take the helm after long-time commissioner and dedicated USA Softball supporter Gary Young announced his retirement. Young’s service to USA Softball was integral in the program’s success.

“I feel honored and humbled to be chosen to be the commissioner of USA Softball of South Dakota. I am excited for my staff and I to lead USA Softball of South Dakota to continued success. My vision is for continued success of softball in our association. We are excited about the new JO National tournament format and look forward to qualifying our teams. We hope to increase registrations in our association in all areas. We anticipate a smooth transition from Commissioner Young to myself and hope for great things to continue. Looking forward to seeing everyone at a softball field somewhere this summer.”
