The 2024 GOLD National Championships hosted by USA Softball returned to Devon Park for the Championship day
OKLAHOMA CITY—USA Softball welcomed back the GOLD National Championships for the final day of bracket play at Devon Park. Championship Friday included seven games across two fields and six timeslots for both the 16U and 18U divisions.
16U Division
- Oklahoma Athletics Platinum 08 – Kudrna came out of the gates swinging, putting up seven runs in the first inning, leading them to a 9-7 win over Rock Gold Waye Nationals. Rock Gold Waye takes home fourth place in the 16U division.
- Oklahoma Athletics Platinum 08 – Kudrna ran out of gas in their second game of the day, falling to Louisiana Voodoo 18U 8-0. Oklahoma Athletics Platinum 08 – Kudrna finishes third overall.
- Louisiana Voodoo picked up right where they left off. In the championship game, they scored three runs in the bottom of the first and never looked back, winning 4-2 over Oklahoma Athletics 07 Premier—McFadden and forcing a winner-take-all second game.
- In the 16U title match, the Oklahoma Athletics defense held strong, allowing only one run on six hits and securing the 2024 GOLD 16U National Championship trophy.
- Louisiana Voodoo, with the most runs, scored in the 16U division with 65 while earning a second-place finish.
- Marley Teasley ( from Oklahoma Athletics – McFadden) earned tournament Most Valuable Player honors.

18U Division
- After a 1-1 tie going into extras, the Nebraska Quakes bats came alive for a five-run, two-out rally, sending them into the championship game.
- The Oklahoma Athletics 18U Premier—Stanley withstand Oklahoma Pure Fastpitch—Melson 05 Premier’s late comeback efforts, with a walk-off in the bottom of the seventh, moving them into the championship game.
- Despite an early deficit, Rock Gold Waye bounced back and scored six runs in the fourth inning, sending them to the championship game. Oklahoma Athletics 18U Premier—Stanley earned a third-place finish.
- Nebraska Quakes National rallied around three runs in the fifth inning to gain the lead and never gave it back. They defeated Rock Gold Waye 6-4 and hoisted the 2024 GOLD 18U National Championship trophy.
- Reagan Dreibelbis (from Nebraska Quakes) earned tournament Most Valuable Player honors.

Stat Leaders
Hitting:
- Marley Teasley batted .400 and hit a two-run homer in the championship game
- Katey Brennan went 5-8 and not only brought in a run but also accounted for three herself
- J. Knowler racked up 5 RBIs while batting 4-7 on the day
Pitching:
- Abby Aguillard recorded 7.1 innings pitched, zero earned runs and two strikeouts
- Brooke Janning pitched 6.1 innings with seven strikeouts
