OKLAHOMA CITY – USA Softball, a volunteer-driven, not-for-profit organization announced today that Dan Adkins has been appointed as Commissioner for USA Softball of Tennessee.
“Softball has become an integral part of my life throughout the years, creating some of my fondest memories while spending countless hours at the field with my daughters and the extended families of players throughout the country,” said Adkins. “Leveraging my coaching experience and business expertise – along with a profound passion and unwavering commitment to continue promoting and nurturing the game of softball – my goal is to create an environment where umpires, players, parents and coaches can come together to forge lasting relationships that will extend to future generations.”
Adkins joins USA Softball with experience as a coach and general manager of a large organization where he managed a private training facility while working with college coaches in recruiting athletes within the organization. A Veteran of the U.S. Army, Adkins also brings more than 35 years of experience in the Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) industry – serving as National account, Regional Manager and Vice President of Sales throughout his career.
