Pete Sandman was a well-respected fast pitch player that shined on the diamond at the state, national, and international levels from Sioux City, Iowa. While on Penn Corp, he was named first team All-American in 1986 at the Men’s Major Fast Pitch National Championship. In 1988, he was named to the third team at the Men’s Major National Championship. He then took his show on the road, representing the USA at the Pan American games in the late 1987, capturing silver medals. Pete also played in the US Olympic Festival in 1987, 1990, 1991, and 1993, capturing two gold medals, one silver medal, and one bronze medal.
