Men’s Super and Class AA Slow Pitch teams gather in Shakopee, Minn. for elite National Championship action

SHAKOPEE, Minn. – USA Softball will look to crown a pair of Men’s Slow Pitch National Champions this weekend as the 2023 Championship season makes its way to Shakopee, Minn. Split between two fields and taking place at Tahpah Park, the action will kick off on Thursday, August 17 with the Men’s Super Slow Pitch National Championship where a winner will emerge on Friday night before teams in the Men’s Class AA Slow Pitch division will take the field on Saturday in hopes to lift the trophy and clinch the title on Sunday, August 20.

Ranking as the top grassroots event for USA Softball Men’s Slow Pitch, the elite Men’s Supers competition is slated to begin on Thursday, August 17 at 6 p.m. CT with a pair of bracket games to open the tournament. The double-elimination action will continue throughout the day on Friday while the battle for the title will take place at 4:30 p.m. CT with an “if-necessary” game scheduled for 6 p.m. CT. Six of the top Men’s Slow Pitch teams from across the country will duke it out in the 2023 Men’s Super Slow Pitch National Championship — including Comatose/S2N/Monsta, NE/Pure, Resmondo/SIS/All American/Menosse/RDD/Stub Terminal/S&S, T’s 13, Tharaldson and The Herd.

Following the Supers competition, the Men’s Class AA division will get things going on Saturday, August 19 with the first contests taking place at 9 a.m. CT. The field will narrow throughout the day as three teams will emerge from the double-elimination bracket to compete on Sunday with the loser’s bracket semi-final opening the day followed by the Championship matchup set for 9:30 a.m. CT and an “if-necessary” game slated for 11 a.m. CT.  A total of eight teams will take part in the Men’s Class AA Slow Pitch National Championship including Comatose/S2N/Monsta, Daddy Rocks/Ductech/Hoffman, JEC/Kevitt/P5, NE/Pure, Resmondo/SIS/All American/Menosse/RDD/Stub Terminal/S&S/H Auto, T’s 13, Tharaldson and The Herd.

These top Men’s Slow Pitch grassroots events serve as an identification opportunity for individuals wishing to be a member of the USA Softball Slow Pitch National Team program in which athletes can earn a spot on either the Men’s Slow Pitch National Team or the Men’s Futures Slow Pitch National Team.
