PRINCE ALBERT, Canada — Members of the 2025 U.S. Men’s National Team (MNT) have arrived in Prince Albert, Canada as the team begins preparations for the 2025 World Baseball Softball Confederation (WBSC) World Cup Finals. Held July 8-13 at Prime Ministers’ Park, the U.S. will compete against top opponents from around the world in hopes of standing atop the podium as World Champions. The Eagles recently led an undefeated campaign at the 2024 WBSC World Cup Group C Stage 1 Event last year in Oklahoma City, Okla. where they secured participation in the Finals.

The U.S. has jumpstarted its preparations for the highly anticipated World Cup by taking part in the 4 Nations Tournament in Saskatoon, Canada. Over the past three days, Team USA has faced off against Canada, Japan, and New Zealand, collecting a record of 2-2 through the tournament. All four countries will be participating in the WBSC World Cup Finals, which are set to officially begin on Tuesday.

Slated for July 8-13, a total of six games will be played in the World Cup Finals as world-ranked No. 6 Team USA will open the tournament in Group B alongside No. 2 Australia, No. 3 Japan and No. 11 Dominican Republic, while No. 1 Argentina, No. 4 Canada (host country), No. 5 Venezuela and No. 8 New Zealand will battle it out in Group A. The top two teams from each group will advance to the Super Round for a chance to compete in the Medal Round. The game schedule is as follows:

•    USA vs Australia — Tuesday, July 8 at 5:30 p.m. CT

•    USA vs Japan — Wednesday, July 9 at 3:30 p.m. CT

•    USA vs Dominican Republic — Thursday, July 10 at 12:30 p.m. CT

•    Super Round — Friday, July 11 to Saturday, July 12

•    Medal Round — Sunday, July 13

Under the leadership of head coach Ron Hackett and assistant coaches Roman Foore, Greg Hicks, and Gerald Muizelaar, the U.S. aims to secure its sixth overall WBSC World Cup title, having previously won championships in 1966, 1968, 1976, 1980, and 1988. In the most recent WBSC Men’s World Cup, the team ended a 22-year medal drought by earning a bronze medal in 2022.

Announced earlier this year, the 2025 U.S. Men’s National Team (MNT) World Cup Finals roster features 12 returners from the 2024 season, where the Eagles secured the top spot at the WBSC World Cup Group C Stage Event. The roster also includes Junior Men’s National Team veterans Braden and Brennan DuCharme, as well as former U-23 MNT member Tyler Damon. Additionally, Brad Kilpatrick returns to the field after being part of the historic 2022 squad.

The WBSC Men’s Softball World Cup Finals will be streamed via GameTime. Fans will have the option of two different services: Tournament Pass ($14.99) or Daily Pass ($9.99). Tournament Pass subscribers will have full access to all 22 games of the WBSC Men’s Softball World Cup. For more information on subscriptions, click here. Fans can also follow along via live stats by following the U.S. Men’s National Team on GameChanger.
