OKLAHOMA CITY — USA Softball has announced the U.S. Men’s National Team (MNT) roster set to compete at the 2026 Pan American Championship, scheduled for February 21–28 in Montería, Colombia. Team USA will take the field against opponents from across the Americas with qualification to the 2028 World Baseball Softball Confederation (WBSC) World Cup Group Stage on the line. Additional tournament details will be released as they become available.

The 2026 U.S. MNT Pan American Championship roster features a blend of veteran talent and fresh faces, with 10 athletes returning from previous seasons and three set to make their Team USA debut in 2026: Dante Biagini, Alan Salgado and Preston Sherman. The roster also features three former members of the U-23 Men’s National Team — Tommy Czech (2023), Jesse Cornell (2023) and Alejandro Gonzalez (2025) — each set to make their first appearance with the Men’s National Team. Among the veterans are eight athletes from the 2025 squad that helped lead the U.S. to a gold medal at The World Games 2025 and a bronze medal at the WBSC World Cup Finals.

The selected athletes represent nine states, led by California with five athletes, followed by Michigan with three. Minnesota is represented by two athletes, while Arizona, Florida, Missouri, Pennsylvania, South Dakota and Wisconsin are each represented by one apiece.

Leading the Eagles once again on the international stage, head coach Ron Hackett (Richmond, Va.) returns after guiding the U.S. to a dominant 2025 season that produced two international medals — gold at The World Games and bronze at the WBSC World Cup Finals — making the U.S. one of the only men’s programs worldwide to medal twice in 2025. Matt Allen also returns to the coaching staff after serving last season, while Jimmy Kolaitis (Alabama) and Bob Piddock (California) join the staff following prior experience within other USA Softball programs (Piddock — U-18/U-23 MNT; Kolaitis — WNT).

“Congratulations to all the athletes who’ve been selected for the team. The time and effort they have put into this achievement is something to be very proud of,” said head coach Ron Hackett. “I’m excited to get this team on the field. Coming off medals at both events last summer, our expectations are high. The other teams will most certainly be a challenge, but our goals haven’t changed, and we will need to be prepared and focused to achieve them,” he added.

Athletes selected to the MNT are part of the USA Softball athlete pool, having attended previous softball camps and clinics, league softball events, and/or attended events coordinated by USA Softball.

The full schedule of the 2026 Men’s Pan American Championship will be announced at a later date.
