OKLAHOMA CITY — Selected to the Junior Women’s National Team (JWNT) program, USA Softball has announced the athletes that will represent the U.S. on the international stage after advancing through the USA Softball High Performance Program (HPP) National Selection Event held in December 2025. A total of 35 athletes will compete in upcoming international events hosted by the World Baseball Softball Confederation (WBSC) in 2025, including the U-15 Americas Qualifier, U-15 World Cup, and U-18 World Cup Finals. Known as “The Pipeline to the Women’s National Team Program,” the selected athletes worked their way through the High Performance Program at the local level and were ultimately chosen by the Junior Women’s National Team Selection Committee (JWNTSC) after competing in the 2024 HPP National Selection Event.

“It’s amazing to see this group of athletes make their dream of playing for Team USA a reality by moving up through our High Performance Program and being named to these rosters,” said Chris Sebren, Chief Sport Development/Performance Officer. “It’s a tough process across all USA Softball regions, with many athletes starting their journey in the HPP over a year ago at local identifiers before making it to the National Selection Event. We can’t wait to see this group on the field, and we believe they’ll do great things on the international stage.”

U-15 Women’s National Team (U-15 Americas Qualifier & U-15 World Cup)

A total of 19 athletes – split between two rosters – will represent the Red, White, and Blue on the international stage in 2025. The pair of rosters consist of players from 12 different states across eight USA Softball regions. Texas (Region 5) has the most representation with six players, followed by Louisiana (Region 4) and Virginia (Region 2), each contributing two players. Also represented are Colorado (Region 7), Hawaii (Region 10), Illinois (Region 6), Kentucky (Region 6), North Carolina (Region 3), Nebraska (Region 7), Oklahoma (Region 5), Pennsylvania (Region 1) and Tennessee (Region 3) with one athlete apiece.

U-18 Women’s National Team

The U-18 Women’s National Team (WNT) roster features a blend of familiar athletes and promising new talent, including McLaine Hudson and Payton Westra, who recently participated in the 2024 WBSC U-18 World Cup Group Stage Event, where their contributions helped the Eagles secure a spot in this year’s finals. Additionally, five players from the 2023 U-15 World Cup gold medal squad will be making their debut on the U-18 stage: Anabela Abdullah, Aspen Boulware, Madelyn Doty, Aubrey McLaughlin, and Brooklyn Paratore. The roster includes athletes from 10 different states and six USA Softball regions. Texas (Region 5) leads with four players, followed by California (Region 10) with three and Arizona (Region 10) with two. Additionally, Florida (Region 3), Georgia (Region 3), Kentucky (Region 6), Louisiana (Region 4), Oklahoma (Region 5), South Carolina (Region 3), and Utah (Region 9) each have one athlete on the roster.

A part of the JWNT program since 2019, Kyla Holas will once again return as head coach of the U-15 and U-18 squads, after previously leading the U-15 Women’s National Team (WNT) to three gold medals during the 2023 season, including a remarkable 7-1 record at the WBSC U-15 Women’s Softball World Cup, where the Eagles claimed the top spot on the podium. Additionally, Holas recently guided the U-18 WNT to an undefeated run at the 2024 WBSC U-18 Group C Stage Event, securing a place in the 2025 WBSC U-18 World Cup Finals. Former U.S. Olympian Kelly Kretschman will coach alongside Holas at the 2025 WBSC U-15 Americas Qualifier after assisting at the WBSC U-18 World Cup Group Stage Event last year, while Jillian Callaway (co-head coach of Howard Community College) will join the U-15 WNT staff for the first time in her career after assisting with the USA Softball HPP over the past four years.

These rosters mark the third group of athletes to advance through the HPP program, following the selection of the U-15 WNT in 2023 and the U-18 WNT in 2024 – showcasing the opportunity of being involved in the Pipeline to the Women’s National Team Program. The HPP was created in 2020 with the goal of identifying a pool of athletes to train, compete and represent USA Softball in domestic and international competition. The program focuses on providing an equal opportunity for players to showcase their talent while growing the game of softball in the United States.
