OKLAHOMA CITY (March 8, 2024) – USA Softball is thrilled to announce the return of the Junior Olympic (JO) Cup to Polk County, Florida for 2024. Building on the 2023 tournament’s success, the 2024 JO Cup will again bring together elite athletes, coaches, and umpires for this prestigious grassroots event.

“The decision to bring the JO Cup back to Polk County for the 2024 event was an easy one,” said Craig Cress, USA Softball Chief Executive Officer. “The support and enthusiasm of the Polk County community, combined with the state-of-the-art facilities at the Bartow Softball Complex and DiamondPlex Softball Complex make it the perfect setting for this prestigious grassroots event.”

The 2024 JO Cup is slated to run from Friday to Sunday, November 15-17, and will showcase the talent of 16-under and 18-under teams from across the nation. The competition returns to DiamondPlex Softball Complex with the addition of the Bartow Softball Complex, a brand-new facility that promises to provide top-notch amenities and provide a world class experience for athletes and fans alike.

“We are honored to have the USA Softball Junior Olympic Cup back here again,” said Polk County Tourism and Sports Marketing Director Mark Jackson. “Polk County fields have hosted many of the best national and international softball players in the world. That continues with the JO Cup. We welcome family, friends, and fans back to the heart of Florida, Polk County.”

The tournament format will feature pool play and double elimination bracket games, culminating a championship contest where teams will battle it out to bring home the hardware and title of JO Cup Champions. With 16 elite teams per division, the competition promises to be fierce.

In addition to the on-field action, through USA Softball’s partnership with NCSA College Recruiting, the tournament also offers valuable recruiting opportunities for aspiring collegiate athletes.
