Team USA at the Women’s College World Series: Day 3

OKLAHOMA CITY – A pair of current U.S. Women’s National Team (WNT) members along with Head Coach Heather Tarr appeared in Day 3 contests as the 2023 NCAA Softball Women’s College World Series (WCWS) continued in Oklahoma City. Tennessee – Kiki Milloy

The No. 4 Tennessee Lady Volunteers moved into the loser’s bracket Saturday behind a strong pitching effort from the No. 1 Oklahoma Sooners in a 9-0 (five innings) run-rule defeat. Kiki Milloy started the day strong for the Lady Vols, opening the first inning with a leadoff double down the left field line, while also rising up the centerfield fence for a home run saving grab in the fourth. Tennessee is set to face the No. 6 Oklahoma State Cowgirls on Sunday, June 4 at 6 p.m. CT.

Washington – Baylee Klingler and Head Coach Heather Tarr

A tight, 3-1, contest against No. 3 Florida State saw the No. 7 Washington Huskies drop to the loser’s bracket on Saturday night. Baylee Klinger had three plate appearances in the evening, picking up a walk and lining a single to right field in the seventh inning. Head Coach Heather Tarr and the Huskies will take on the No. 9 Stanford Cardinal on Sunday, June 4 at 2 p.m. CT.
