OKLAHOMA CITY — The 2025 USA Softball Annual Council Meeting officially kicked off Sunday, Oct. 26, as Council Members and guests gathered for the first General Council Session to open this year’s event.
USA Softball President Dave Devine (USA Softball of Dallas/Fort Worth) and Chief Executive Officer Craig Cress addressed attendees to provide an update on the current state of USA Softball and the organization’s continued growth at all levels of the game. Council Members also began reviewing Rule and Code Proposals for the 2026 season, which will be voted on later this week during Tuesday’s General Council Session.
In addition to the opening session, Sunday’s schedule featured regional and territory meetings, allowing representatives from across the country to discuss initiatives, review updates, and share insight specific to their respective areas.
The day also included the Junior Olympic (JO) Cup Forum and the Commissioner Forum, offering valuable opportunities for collaboration and discussion on future events, tournament structures, and continued efforts to enhance the player and member experience within the USA Softball network.
