For starters, I have what you would call a hard head. A little stubborn, but I think that just comes with my zodiac sign. So I was doomed from the start. I have an English bulldog and a pitbull that I absolutely adore. Before them I never knew what patience really meant. I love animals and having alone time. People who talk a lot make me tired. I am a person of few words, but I lead by example. I am not a huge fan of Christmas, but enjoy Thanksgiving because of all the food. I don’t like to read books but I like to read about issues that are important like our health, our environment and animals. I take reusable bags to the grocery store so I don’t waste plastic or paper bags. You should try it. I can’t stand the cold. Snow is only fun for about a day. I like to cook, take my dogs hiking, and workout. I can’t wait to spend more time with my boyfriend and play Yahtzee, go to the beach and watch movies. I miss Hawaiian food from back home but I substitute it with Mexican food; however, I wouldn’t mind some Italian food from Italy. What a beautiful place. I like the smell of homemade cookies, sautéed onions and mushrooms. I’m not a neat freak but my shoes and socks are always clean. I probably own about 40 pairs of jeans. And, yes I do wear them all. Oh, yeah--Go Angels! Last but not least, I love to travel, and at the same time it reminds me of how fortunate I am to be an American.

Since 2004
I had my first year out of college and became an official adult. I relocated from Tucson, Arizona to Los Angeles for a couple of years then headed back to Tucson to get serious about my training for the upcoming Olympic Games. When I got back from Athens, I did many appearances with my gold medal. To be honest I think people wanted to see the gold medal instead of listening to me talk, but I didn’t mind at all. When everything calmed down I made a life altering decision and a puppy entered my life. I named her Hoku aka “star”. She was a three-month Olde English Bulldog. Then I made a vital mistake and eight months later I decided that Hoku needed a playmate. I knew the next dog would be my all time favorite breed; a pit bull. My boyfriend named it Gator. Looking back on it now there were no mistakes and I enjoy every minute with them. Hoku and Gator are completely different from one another. Both very active dogs, but Hoku is what you would call a princess. Not because I treat her like one, she just tries to do whatever she wants whenever she wants. On the other hand, Gator obeys commands and doesn’t wander off. My boyfriend and I have been together since 2003. And I am very happy to announce that he was finally traded to my favorite baseball team,“The Angels.” I’m also proud to say that I am an owner of my very own house. And I finally paid off my truck completely. A couple of my vacation spots were to Oahu, Maui, Lanai, Vegas, Mazatlan, Mexico, and so on...... I would still love to go back to Italy forvacation instead of softball. I will be planning that next year. Not very many people know this about me, but I will all let you onto a little secret of mine. I have always wanted to be a firefighter. I knew out of college that is what I was going to do. I plan on becoming a firefighter when I am done playing softball. So if there are any fire-fighters out there reading this and you have some tips or information for me that you think I should know about. Please don’t hesitate to email me on my website. I can use all the help I can get. I’ve become an outdoors person because of my dogs. They need the exercise. They even do my sprint workouts with me at the park. I have tripped over them on more than a few occasions. Well I guess they do put a little agility into my workouts. And I still love to workout and weight train. What a great three years though. I am very excited and looking forward to 2008 and what it has to offer.
